Chapter 7: The unexpected benefits of kindness in healthcar

  Kindness in healthcare:

https://kindnessinhealthcare.world/

This is a fabulous community that I have the privilege of being part of. It is comprised of healthcare workers across the world that meet to have conversations in kindness. The site links to previous meetings and is a great resource for references linked to kindness in healthcare including references , books, podcasts and organisations they work with or are inspired by. I am proud that the co-founder of this group, Professor Bob Klaber has written a testimonial for the book on kindness.

Fixed mindset and growth mindset

I am a fan of Carol Dweck, the American psychologist who has taught us as individuals and also organisations so much about mindset.

Civility saves lives

Civility saves lives is not just a phrase - it is way to better understand each other better, address workplace culture, improve individual and team performance and in doing so improve patient care. The site has further links to testimonials, resources and background evidence with the different trainings that are offered.

Just a routine operation

Martin Bromiley OBE - Clinical Human Factors Group - Just a Routine Operation

A very moving video by Martin Bromiley, an airline pilot where he talks about the events that lead to his wife’s death and how he approached the aftermath which lead to eventually setting up the clinical human factors group.
